Is it wrong for my wedding gown to be made of polyester and cost 800?

I bought what I thought is a designer Anjolique gown from a nice bridal salon and when I got home, the tag said made in china, polyester......is this normal?

If you like it keep it. Most gowns are non-returnable. =(
