All beautiful, I especially love your gown...very elegant !

My only comment is that because it is a cathedral wedding, the bridesmaid gowns may be a little "skimpy" (at the top) for church. Maybe the ladies can wear a shawl or short jacket just for the ceremony.

Wearing Bridal Gowns for Different Kinds of Wedding

There are different kinds of wedding where bridal gowns may be worn by a bride. There is the traditional white wedding which may be formal or semi-formal in setting. This kind of wedding became popularly known during the Victorian era just after Queen Victoria adorned a white laced gown. Mariage blanc is rarely consummated and most often is annulled especially when the specific danger to the primary has already passed. Also, this should not be confounded with a “lavender marriage” or marriage made for financial reasons. A bride in this marriage also wear a bridal gown but the wedding is usually done to hide the homosexuality of at least one partner thus it is also called the mixed-orientation marriage. If one of the party is straight or not a homosexual, that person is either referred to as the “beard” which is a female term or “merkin” as the male term depending of the gender.
