Plain wedding dress that doesn't cost too much or beautiful, elaborate wedding dress that costs a lot?

Just curious - would you rather buy a wedding dress that is rather plain and doesn't cost too much, or would you rather buy one that is absolutely beautiful and elaborate, but costs a lot more?

I would buy the beautiful and elaborate wedding dress, even if it costs a lot more.
I bought the inexpensive one that is very pretty but it's not the one that I really wanted.
Now I regret it. I should have spent the extra $2,000.00 and bought my dream wedding dress.
